Dear Family and Friends,

"Hello to you all in the name of Jesus."

"Balao na i kue na iri ti Jesus."

We were able to go to a small church, Bethel, here in Bangui near the airport.    The church's pastor, Pastor Titus, wasn't at the church today.  He needed to go to Batangafou because he got word that his mother is critically ill. Please pray for him and his family at this time, Pray for him because it is dangerous territory up there. When we arrived the deacon asked Charlie to preach. He spoke on 1 Corinthians 12:12-30.  The song service at that church was marvelous.  We enjoyed our time with the people there.   We saw 2 new babies at the church today.  We were able to meet Yvon, who works for us here at the mission station, and his wife, new baby and family. The other new baby was the pastor's daughter's baby, one week old, who I am holding in this picture.

  Happy Sunday to you all,

  In Him,

 Charlie and Gai Jewell

Dear Family and Friends,

We just learned that a dear friend of ours, Dr. William Osborne, who taught at one time at BBC, is now with Jesus.  July 26th.  He was a member of our sending church in Dalton, Pa.  and a mentor to Charlie while he was in Bible School.  We could say about him, and his dear wife who preceded him into glory several years ago, lines from that song, “I Saw Jesus In You”.  What a testimony they had.

Please remember to pray for the Osborne family at this time.

We are doing fine here.  No earthshaking news.  It has been cool here temperature wise.

Charlie has had several important meeting with church leaders and heads of Bible Schools etc. here recently.   Church problems, needs of the people, and legal problems are always weighing heavily on us here.

Our big gate broke last Saturday afternoon and it took them 7 hours on Sunday to weld it and get it to close right again.  Oy.  Next is to paint all of the gates and fence along the property..  I’d like it to be a dark blue.  We’ll see.

Thanx for praying,

  Charlie and Gai

Dear Friends and Family,
  Hello all.
Today is the last day of a 2 week music seminar.  Both Charlie and John Dannenberg were up there teaching; Ethics, Leadership and Doctrine, and What is praise.  The young people had a lot of very good questions. Each day Charlie said that he told them, "What does the Bible say about that?  Lets
search the scriptures."
Tomorrow up at the church they will present some of what they learned there.  I'm sending a picture and I'll try to send a video clip but don't know if
it will be posted on our web.

  Thank you for your prayers,
 In His Great Love,
  Charlie and Gai Jewell
